February 19th 2015 marks the rebirth of Stand as a DIY record label with both physical and digital distribution. The premise of the label is to “Stand up for what you believe in.” Stand facilitates the distribution of great up and coming hard working bands online and to cool record stores Canada wide. The first two releases on Stand this February will be Jah Cutta and Piratas Urbanos , Canada’s King of Reggae. Jah Cutta has Linked Up with Piratas Urbanos which features David Bourguignon and Jean Michel Dercourt aka “Gambeat” from Radio Bemba Jah Cutta & Piratas Urbanos is a self titled 5 song ep produced by David Bourguignon. The 2nd release will be Punchline 13 , a power pop band fronted by former Men”o”steel singer Sylvain Campeau. Stand will also distribute back catalogue from such bands as Floating Widget & Shades of Culture etc.

In Brief
Stand was originally founded in 2000 as a grass roots t-shirt company that supported independent music Now 15 years later Stand has been reborn into a multi faceted digital label that has digital distribution in 240 countries around the world . Beside the musical aspect , Stand still has a “soft goods” side of things. The merch. side of Stand will feature it’s own line of t-shirts and hoodies as well as a limited series. A select group of artist will submit designs depicting their version of “Stand up for what you believe in “ The series will be limited to 100 numbered shirts per design that will be accompanied by a numbered silk screen poster . The first artist to release a limited T- Shirt will be Michel “ Away” Langevin from Voivod
